Puppy Formula
1 can goat’s milk OR 15 oz. fresh (full fat)
4 oz plain full fat yogurt
1 egg yolk (NO
white)
1 Tbsp Karo (corn syrup)
1 dropper liquid baby vitamins (human)
Just stir and store in refrigerator. Keeps
at least a week. IF frozen immediately can freeze for 1 year, thaw in fridg.
Feed 1 cc per ounce every four hours.
Take
as much as you need out of the batch and heat it to body temp as you would for a baby. We use a hot water bath and sit the
container of formula in it until the temp comes up. We found this recipe to be ideal for underweight or preemie pups. One
of ours lived on this for at least three weeks until he was able to eat on his own. The yogurt seems to help with
digestion.
